Entertaible: LCD-Based Board Gaming from Philips

While walking through the Philips CES booth, I came across the Entertaible. It's a 30" LCD touchscreen that has speakers built in, and it sits in a tabletop. The game was a kind of silly taxi driver thing. You roll the virtual dice and move these clear cubes around the screen, arrows show you where you can move. Thanks to improved tech, the LCD has very little glare and greater viewing angles. It's being pushed as a new way to bring back social gaming with people in places like bars and restaurants, but could one day make it into the home. I can see lots of potential beyond board games for this tech... like doing homework.
