Among a few digital still cameras introduced today by Samsung are the GX-1L entry-level digital SLR and the fashion-conscious Digimax L60. The Gx-1L (above) is a 6-megapixel camera with interchangeable lenses that were developed jointly with Pentax Corporation. It's designed to be easy to use, and includes a variety of automatic modes as well as fully-manual operation. It also has a five-point autofocus system and eight scene modes. It's available as a body-only or bundled with the Schneider D-Xenon 18-55mm lens. Pricing was not announced.

The L60 (above) is a slim and trim 6-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and a 2.4-inch LCD viewfinder. It can record 640x480/30fps video in MPEG-4, and holds that image steady with built-in movie stabilization. A big plus is the ability to use the 3x optical zoom while recording video. The L60 will be available in April for $300.
