Now there's a place you can go to find out the top 100 most-frequently-used makes and models of digital cameras used to take pictures uploaded to photo sharing website Flickr. There's also a column that names the top camera manufacturers represented in Flickr uploads.
Here's an exquisite example of data mining, where recent uploads are sampled using some pretty tricky technology. Taking a look at the list right now, it looks like Canon dominates, with seven out of the top 10 cameras used, with the top three manufacturers lining up as Canon, Sony and then Nikon. Canon's Rebel Xt is the same as the 350D, so if you combine the numbers from both models, I'd imagine that it would come up as number 1 or 2. But Canon will still have 7 models in the top 10, since the number 11 and 12 ranking cameras are also canon cameras.
Same goes for the EOS Rebel/300D Supperman. Somehow I knew my 20d Was top of the list even before I clicked it.. its a damn popular camera
new Rebel XTs are about the same price as used 20Ds these days... i can't decide. guess i'll have to read like the 35 page dpreview.com reviews on both of them.
