Shimafuji
s SEMC5701 is a palm-sized Linux-based PC. The size is 2-inches by 2-inches by 1.7 inches, and it has all the necessary functions of a PC. It has the VR5701CPU processor from NEC, 64MB SDRAM, and 16MB flash ROM. The kernel has to be downloaded and installed from a Linux site. It carries a CF card slot, 5V power source, speaker output, microphone input, LAN, USB, RGB (CRT), DIP SW etc. It is sold for about $1330, ouch.

That is so freaking neat.
wasnt there a similar thing that came out a few years ago? I\'m pretty sure there was...anyway these things would be fun as heck to carry around and use. especially if they could put a little lcd screen on it. Carry about a 2 gb flash memory card with it for all ur music and whatever. If this thing was just, well, a bunch cheaper, (like only one or two hundred bucks)that people could have ALOT of fun with something like this
Rocketbilly Wang: It\'s hyper-minaturized technology that\'s probably produced in small production runs. Both factors likely conspire to make it as expensive as it is.
