I'm a little skeptical, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. The Optimus keyboard, the one with the little OLEDs under each key, appears to be launching February 1, 2006. Truth? Hype? We don't know yet, but we'll keep you informed.

Who knows for sure, not seen any 'real' product photography in the blogosphere, but if this thing is released, it'll be my iMac's early birthday present :D
I'm highly skeptical about this keyboard. Has anyone seen any guesses on price? How much can a mini-color LCD screen cost? 110 of them? Who actually uses paper cutout keyboard templates? Or those funky gamer keyboards with the game keys on them? I think most people like it because it's quite cool looking, but will this be useful?
OLEDs, not LCDs.
FINALLY! Yeah! Did you see a working keyboard at CES?
If this thing is wireless and inexpensive enough it would be great. just think of all the fun you could have moving buttons around, setting up hotkeys in a friendly way. But will its usefulness warrent its cost? We will see
Function keys, transform - and roll out!
seems interesting! hopefully they will make a wireless version in the near future :)
Another interesting feature is being able to change the character set - so we can change to that funky Dvorak layout on the fly without having to paste new letters on our keys :p and LD is right, its an OLED keyboard, not LCD - OLED is a lot cheaper to make than LCD, but I still expect this keyboard to be in the $300 range.
They keyboard will sell for $ 350. More than a 19" LCD, but it is definately worth the price.
I want 2!!!
Hmmm...I have the urge to write a program that will randomly re-order the keys every ten seconds...as well as change languages "Ahhh...my Q just moved way over here...OMG!!! it's turned chinese!!!" Or just make them all smiley faces Can you imagine all the nefarious evil things you could do with this... On the other hand you could make a hotkey to switch from Dvorak to Qwerty
I look forward to the inevitable Quake/Doom-port to run spanned over all those key screens ;) (cooler-than-cool if embedded on the actual device firmware, as-cool-as-cool if ran as an app on the connected computer)
I so desire this keyboard that it hurts my groin. Normally I lease my rubber gloves, but I might have to exercise my option to buy them just so I don't have to worry about keepin' my Optimus--nay, Rodimus--nice and shiny. Oh, man. Throw in some energon-powered cathode lighting and a Winamp Visualization mod and Unicron won't know what f***ing hit him. Not that he would anyway; Orson Welles is totally dead. Till all are one.
What is the point of this thing, besides looking cool? Just checking, because I have 12 function keys I never use, so being able to program 100+ keys seems like an answer to a question no one has. But, I agree that it looks so cool that it might be worth buying just to impress geeky friends.
ok... im a geek, and that keyboard it freaking awesome!... eye candy... I use photoshop and call of duty 2... so it will be usefull to me and those firefox and eMule logos KICK A**
put a scroll wheel and i'd pay whatever they ask for.
