ZMP Unleashes Nuvo

zmp_nuvo.jpg imageZMP has finally released their "nuvo" robot to the public. In red, blue, white and yellow color variations, the nuvo is available for the "reasonable" price of 588,000 yen. As far as features are concerned, the nuvo actually has quite a few: it can be controlled by voice, remote, 802.11b, and even cellular phone. In the nuvo's head is a 0.33MP camera for recording images of stuff, but that's nothing new. One feature that stands out is the ability to add applications to the nuvo. Adding PIM functionality to the robot would enable you to ask it something like "what am I supposed to do today," to which it would respond, "find buried treasure" or whatever you happened to program as that day's schedule.
