"@thechansen: I don't think the future of wireless coverage is with towers. I think we will soon see aero-stats that have far wider individual coverage, with overlapping areas for seamless transition. An aero-stat is a stationary hovering (usually using lighter-than-air gas pockets like a blimp) device."
