korea is puting a lot of stock in english being the global language. therefore evey child goes to an english language school either for normal school or after their normal school. unlike japan who "study" english since middle school. they study english but never are pressed to use it. japanese school test dont mean anything they get passed regardless of aptitude. so japanese people have been exposed to english but its like you watching japanese movies without subtitles. if you really wanted to you could study on your own, but what 14 year old is gonna do that.

i dont remember where i ate, i was really drunk, out of the 5 of us that went there i was the only one affected.

ill have to check out r-point.

tokyo should be ok for non-japanese speakers but if you got out of tokyo and even in some places in tokyo your gonna have problems. most signs are in both english and japanese(poor english) but ad far as speakers of the language thats another story. tokyo is ok because its got a foriegn population. but out side of tokyo you dont get big clusters of non japanese people.

seoul is another place you might want to check out. i personally hated it, only because i got the shits really bad and spent the days i was there on my friends toliet. but everyone speakes english in seoul.

imprint is from a series on showtime where they got many famous directors to make short films. its quite graphic, but i like that sorta thing.

i lived in mainz germany for nearly 5 years.

i was born in pennsylvania, lived in europe for 5 years came back to university in iowa, now ive been living in japan for the past 5 years. i work in the production department. i do camera work, editing, as well as the occasional gaijin on tv thing. gaijin is what japanese people call foreign people.

the first time i saw bizeta q i was shocked but now i think its a very up lifiting stoy. a stranger comes to a dysfunctional family and teaches them to become a loving dysfunctional family. remember theres nothing like breast milk to bring a family together.

yea gozu is very nice, i love the last line in the movie. when we put her in water she got better. or something like that i havent seen the subtitled version in a while. other than that izo is very introspective, one of his best, but also one of the hardest to grasp for something not fimilar with japanese history, culture or the social problems facing the japanese today. impressions is a short film he did for showtime. perhaps one of the sickest things ive ever seen, but in a good way. django is simply the coolest film ever made. not exactly a good movie but if you know cameras its absolutly beautiful and cool, plus it was shot where i live in japan.

that guy just doesnt understand that miss-spelling a name is wrong. its a proper name and thus has only one spelling. he thinks he is being clever but hes not. i just dont care about that guy to say anything to him, just laugh to yourself at what a retard he is next time you see his name.

the film is kamisama no pazuru or the puzzle of god. didnt get a chance to see the movie. had to clean up after filming and then go back to the station to but the stuff away.

i love miike movies. been hooked ever since i saw some of him movies in 2000. dont really have a favorite but i saw bizeta q (vister q) first and it schocked the hell out of me. so it holds a special place.

well i really didnt know what to expect from him before meeting him. the only impression of him i had was from his cameos in various movies. but he was of course acting so i had no clue what he was like. he was very nice, cracked jokes, and had an engaging personality.

yeah, i work for a tv company in japan and we own the largest movie theater in tohoku. he came and gave a speech for the opening of his new film. he and the lead actress, producer and the writer. very differnt then i thought he would be like.

What's your problems man? Your'e welcome to pronounce my name however the hell you want. However, I'm not changing the spelling based on that. Take for example the word "One". It is pronounced "won", but not spelled that way. Get it now, m'Kay? M'Kay.
