Earlier today I made a comment wherein I wanted to make a reference to and example of an outstanding Giz commenter. Now, in my mind, the list of excellent commenters is pretty short, and it includes yourself, 92BuickLeSabre, NutBastard, Curves and probably a couple of others. But since, for the purpose of the point I was illustrating, I wanted to keep it specific to a single person, I decided to go with the one commenter who had so long ago been honored with the Giz Star Commenter Award. That, of course, was

who I absent-mindedly typed up in the comment I posted. NO, I, being an idiot, typed in and linked to 92BuickLeSabre, instead of, of course,

I've now--stupidly, only after the fact--gone back through the Giz archives and found that the story I remembered was--surprise!--honoring you. Aargh again. I am such an idiot.

Now, I am almost certain (at least I am hoping) it is not going to be a big thing for you, i.e., the fact that my goldfish memory dredged up the wrong name. However, it is a big thing for me. I appreciate you, your comments and the fact that you have been here so far ahead of me and have earned a well-deserved following. And, while 92BuickLeSabre is one of my top 4 favorite commenters, yours was the name that should have been coupled to my "legendary" accolade.

So, please, please accept my apology for what was, I most definitely assure you, an idiotic oversight on my part with no intention of slighting you. And it also has nothing to do with 92BuickLeSabre slipping me 5 bucks. No, didn't happen that way. I'm just an idiot.

oh hey man if you ever break your sansa, you do know you can pick up a cheap 2GB e250 and swap the 8GB daughter board into it, right? (i've had to do this twice now, but on the plus side i now have 3 cables and 3 batteries, and one gutted 2GB i use as a spare battery charger)
