Based on the information contained in a Sling Media patent, it may be possible for the company to send you ads over their popular Slingbox media players. TiVo Lets Your Choose Your Poison

There are four possible categories of advertisements automotive, travel, telecommunications and consumer packaged goods. These ads will feature the same technology that is used in internet-based targeted advertising, showing products TiVo thinks you'll like.
