Logitech Rolls Out Driving Force Wireless Gaming Wheel for Playstation
It's missing the built-in shifter and faux-carbon of the Driving Force GT, but it does offer force feedback and, of course, the ability to play Gran Turismo unencumbered by realism-killing wires—a first for Logitech. It'll work with both PS2 and PS3 for $100. [Product Page]

Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro Webcam For Macs, Like iSight but Better
Remember the old Apple iSight: auto-focus, built to last, clip-on and generally fantastic? Well, Logitech is trying to take us back to the days when you snapped a cam onto your machine to do your video-calling, and has released the QuickCam Vision Pro Webcam for Macs. It's got Carl Zeiss optics, a voice-coil motor for smooth auto-focus, a 2-megapixel sensor and can record video in 720p resolution. Sure it's not quite as sleek as the old iSight and you can't use it for iChat video effects, but it seems a tad better than Apple's built-in cams. Available July for $129.99. Press release below. Logitech Adds to Pure-Fi Speaker Range With Bluetooth Mobile Version
Logitech's Pure-Fi Mobile will apparently "transform your low-fidelity mobile-phone audio into high-fidelity, stereophonic sound." You leave your cellphone in your pocket while streaming music over Bluetooth to the speaker module, using A2DP protocol for higher-fidelity sound. With four speakers it should be able to pump out an appreciable volume, and it also has dual mics (one for ambient cancellation, one voice) so works as a speakerphone too. There's also a standard line-in jack for lower-tech connectivity and its rechargeable batteries will give 12 hours of tunes, with USB power as backup if that's not enough. Available June for $149.99. Big week for 3DConnexion, a Logitech company, as they update their twisting/rotating desktop SpaceNavigator mouse for laptops. We're not sure what differentiates this laptop version from the desktop version (which also works with Second Life), but it's got a "new cap design" and is smaller than the desktop version. SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse Gives Full Range of Motion to Second Life Avatars
3Dconnexion's SpaceNavigator, a rubber-capped multi-axis metal dial meant mainly for 3D design, has been put to even better use as a pan-dimensional controller for Second Life. The video says it all: watch as Beast, one of the "Lindens" who works at Second Life's founder company, demos movement of his avatar on both land and in the air, and even use SpaceNavigator side by side with a mouse. It's perhaps even cooler in build mode, where you can twist, push, pull and tilt—basically have free range of motion—when doing heavy construction. The SpaceNavigator is already available for $60, and works with Google Earth, Adobe Photoshop and a bunch of CAD and GIS apps. It will be available in Second Life at release 1.20. CNet Gives Logitech Squeezebox Duet the Ol' Editor's Choice Stamp
Logitech has been dying to get into wireless whole-house audio like Sonos and not a whole lot of others. Now that CNet has favorably reviewed the $400 Squeezebox Duet we told you about at CES, it may well have a shot. In living video, our buddy John Falcone explains the Wi-Fi-powered system, and notes that, aside from DRM protected content, the Squeezebox Duet gets at "any music, anywhere" including stuff from Rhapsody, Slacker, and Pandora, plus internet radio and podcasts. Logitech's ClearChat Wireless PC headset might seem unremarkable, but a quick scan of Amazon shows there aren't really any non-bluetooth wireless stereo headsets on the market. There are plenty of wireless headphones without mics, one speaker 2.4 GHz wireless headsets and corded stereo headsets. But no product has combined the three ideas like the ClearChat new product. and Logitech claims the 2.4 GHz Wireless device is designed with VoIP users in mind, but we all really know why this is great: MMO fanboys can now head to the bathroom and drain a shotgunned gallon of Mountain Dew without abandoning their clan of orcs, elves and mages. The ClearChat PC Wireless Headset will go on sale in May for $100.

There's a 900 degree lock-to-lock turn, which means you can maneuver it much like an actual wheel on your Toyota Corolla when sledding about the tracks of Nurburgring. There's also a horn, shifter, the standard PS3 controller buttons and measures 11-inches in diameter. Latest by dotScott: It's a nice looking remote but if you have fingers the size of a normal adult you may have trouble with the buttons. Particularly the number pad. Also, the throw length on the buttons is also a little more »
